Who are Bliss of London - Loxley?

Bliss of London is a Walsall based saddle brand. They are a manufacturer of high quality English made saddles, which can be fully personalised to your taste. Bliss of London offer a fantastic selection of models, available on various different tree shapes to suit a wide range of horses. You can personalise your saddle with stitching, welting, and piping of your colour choice, as well as some exotic cantle details such as crocodile, sting ray, or snakeskin. Swarovski crystals are also available if you want to stand out from the crowd. But for those who likes things a little more plain, Loxley by Bliss of London may the perfect brand, whether you are looking for a super comfortable saddle for hunting, everyday riding, show jumping, eventing or dressage.

What is the Loxley range?

The Loxley range is a fantastic range of performance saddles brought to you by the Bliss of London team. Saddles in the Loxley range come with wool flocked panels. They offer a range of trees designed around the complexity of professional saddle fitting to suit different horse types and conformation profiles. Each type of saddle within the Loxley range such as Dressage, Jump or Event has three different types; the standard Loxley, the LX, and the monoflap so there is something to suit everyone.

What tree's are they built on?

You will need to check before purchasing which tree the saddle is built on to check its suitability to your horse. You can do this easily by contacting Loxley with the serial number of the saddle and they will be able to help advise you on the tree type and any customisation to the saddle. 

Here are the selection of tree types available from Loxley and the types of horses they suit. 

• Classic Tree - A wooden tree suited to the more classical Thoroughbred shaped horses
• Warmblood Tree - A wooden tree suited to the more modern warmblood type with high withers and a flat back
• Hoop Tree - A wooden tree suited to lower withered, rounder horses/ponies
• Adjustable Tree - A plastic tree with interchangeable gullet bars available in sizes Narrow Medium up to XXW. A benefit of the Loxley adjustable tree is it is not just the angle of the tree which alters as you widen the bars, it is also the shape of the headplate, making these super versatile saddles.
• Close contact Tree - A wooden continental style tree which offers a close contact minimal style panel. Suited to horses with a good topline, and most often only used on jump saddles
• Pony Tree - A great tree for ponies starting at 15 inch, available in dressage, GP and jump. This tree has a broad head, and neat profile offering a close contact panel suited to most young riders and their ponies.

What type of horses do they suit?

With having a fantastic selection of trees available. As well as fully custom options, such as deeper rear gussets, no/half/full front gussets, different panel options etc. Loxley saddle's can be custom built to suit you and your horse. If buying second hand, contact Loxley to check the full spec of the saddle using the serial number. This will help you determine if the saddle is going to be suitable for your horse. 

What Event saddles do Loxley offer?

As mentioned, all Loxley saddles come in 3 ranges; the standard, the LX and the Monoflap. 
The standard will have a standard flap and knee roll. The LX will have a knee roll which moulds around the knee block. The monoflap is a single flap version with exterior surface blocks. 

Therefore Loxley offer 3 event saddles; 

• Event,
• Event LX,
• Mono Event

How adjustable are the adjustable trees?

Loxley saddles are available with an adjustable tree option which is great for horses which change shape. Loxley adjustable trees are adjustable from a Narrow Medium up to XXW.  A great thing about a Loxley adjustable tree is that is it not just the angle of the width that alters, but also the shape of the headplate, which goes from a more A shape in the Medium Narrow. Opening up wider to the upturned u shape of the XXW.

Designed with horses confirmation in mind the bars compliment broadness of the horses spinal area. As the broadness of the horse increases, it enables the shape of the tree to adapt.

Note: Not all Loxley saddles are adjustable. It is only the ones built on the Adjustable tree.
