So what are the differences between the Advanta and the Victrix?

Now we have had a look at both th Bates Advanta and the Bates Victrix what are the main differences between them?

The biggest difference is that the Advanta is a monoflap and the Victrix is a dual flap, some riders and horses prefer the feel of a monoflap saddle and not having the girth fastened under their leg.

Whereas others prefer the support and security a dual flap can offer, plus not having to lean so far down to do check and tighten your girth can be an advantage on some horses!

With the Advanta being a monoflap it also features surface knee and calf blocks for rider support, whereas the dual flap of the Victrix the blocks are under the flap, some riders prefer this option as the knee pad offers a greater comfort on your knee.

What about the similarities between the Advanta and the Victrix?

Both the Advanta and the Victrix are close contact premium jump saddles, made from the super Luxe leather so you will feel the soft yet grippy feel everytime you get on your saddle.

As with all Bates saddles the Advanta and Victrix feature the Easy Change Gullet system, both models are on the standard tree so these take gullet bars from Narrow upto Extra Wide. You can purchase gullet bars for your Bates  saddle here

CAIR Cushion System

Both the Advanta and Victrix saddles incorporate the innovative CAIR cushion system, which provides superior comfort and support through the use of 'air' distributing the riders weight evenly across the horses back. The CAIR system and panels also allow for precise and measurable adjustments to be made by inserting the Easy Change Risers (shims) directly into the panels of the saddle. By inserting the risers you can customise the fit to your horse.
