What size bar do you need?

If you are not sure what size gullet bar your horse is, its very easy to find out.. Simply purchase a Wintec/Bates Gullet gauge which will allow you to quickly identify the size your horse needs.

The HART System

In 2020, Wintec renamed their Easy-Change Gullet system, and CAIR panels, and combined them into the HART system.
HART stands for Horse and Rider Technology.

Adjustable Gullet

All Wintec saddles are designed with an adjustable gullet system. This provides a quick and easy way of adjusting the width of the saddle to fit correctly over the horses withers. This can be very beneficial when considering horses that change shape, for example young horses that are still maturing, horses that have been out of work and lost muscle tone and horses that gain or lose weight regularly.

The gullet bars come in different colours which each represent a different width.

Yellow = Narrow

Green = Medium/Narrow

Black = Medium

Blue = Medium/Wide

White = Extra Wide

Red = Wide

White = X-Wide

These bars fit into the standard Wintec saddles.
