The Thorowgood T8 MJJ Jump saddle is a popular jump saddle for everyday use. The Thorowgood T8 range features saddles made from lightweight synthetic material on the underside, with a leather look and feel on the outside. They are lightweight, low maintenance and easy to clean. The T8 Jump saddle is available in 17 and 17.5-inch, Black or Brown. It works well for horses with a standard wither and average back profile. It features a flatter seat with a forward-cut flap to enable the rider to shorten their stirrups and achieve the ideal jumping position. Velcro knee blocks can be positioned to suit and support the rider.
All Thorowgood saddles are wool-flocked, meaning your saddle fitter can make minor alterations to them. Furthermore, they feature an adjustable gullet tree, so the saddle can be easily adjusted throughout the year as the horse changes shape. The Thorowgood T8 MJJ Jump saddle is adjustable from Narrow Medium to Extra Wide-Extra Extra Wide. This saddle takes the R bar, the longer gullet bar from Thorowgood.
In terms of fit for the horse, you also have variable girthing options, which can create a better fit by moving the girth straps and utilising the point and balance strap as required. (Speak to us if you are unsure.)
The Thorowgood T8 Jump saddle is a very popular model. It is affordable and works well for horses and riders. If you like this saddle but would prefer a full-leather model, take a look at the Kent and Masters MJJ S-Series Jump saddle.
