Trial Policy

5 Day Saddle Trial – How It Works

To start a trial, please add the saddle to your basket and complete the purchase at checkout.

All saddles must be paid for in full upfront before the trial begins.

Your Trial Period

The Saddle Bank offers a 5 day trial on all saddles for UK Mainland customers.
Your 5 day trial starts on the day the saddle is delivered to you and includes weekends and public holidays.

New Saddles

New saddles are permitted on trial. However, please handle them with care to ensure they do not get scuffed or scratched.
Any excessive wear on a new saddle may result in a reduction of your refund to reflect the new selling price as an ex demo saddle.

During Your Trial

We recommend booking a qualified saddle fitter to visit within the 5 day period to check fit and suitability.
If you do not currently have a saddle fitter, we may be able to help you find one here.

The Saddle Bank takes no responsibility for courier delays that result in missed saddle fitting appointments. We recommend having the saddle delivered 2 working days before your fitting appointment to allow for any potential courier delays.

NOTE: You can order and hold a saddle delivery for up to 14 days to align with your saddle fitting appointment.

All fitting costs are your responsibility and are not covered by The Saddle Bank.

If the Saddle Is Not Suitable

You must notify us by day 5 by booking your return through the Returns Form.
The saddle must be collected by day 6.
Late returns are charged at £3 per day from day 7 up to a maximum of 14 days after delivery.
After 14 days, please refer to our Buy Back Policy.

Refunds

Refunds must be made to the same payment method used to place the order.
Once the saddle is returned and inspected, refunds are processed within 3 working days.
Please allow an additional 3 to 5 days for the refund to appear on your card or bank account.

Trial and Postage Fees

Customers are responsible for all delivery costs including:

  • The delivery charge to send the saddle to you
  • The return delivery charge if you decide to send the saddle back

Delivery charges, including upgrades such as Saturday delivery, are non-refundable.

There is a £10 trial fee which covers admin packaging handling transaction fees and recleaning. This is deducted from your refund.

Packing and Collection

Remove the old address label before the saddle is collected.

Please ensure the saddle is repacked well and that the box is fit for purpose for a return trip. You may need to add additional tape to the box including reinforcing the base of the box to ensure it is secure for transit.

You must be available between 08:00 and 17:00 on the agreed collection day. You will be able to select a collection date to suit you when processing your return.

The courier will text and email you a 1-hour timeslot on the morning of collection, so please ensure your contact details are entered correctly.

Care of the Saddle

You are responsible for the saddle while on trial.
Please handle it with care. Any damage may result in a deduction from your refund.

If We Do Not Hear From You

If we do not hear from you by day 6 we will assume you are happy with the saddle and the sale becomes final.
