Bates Heritage leather is a smooth leather offering a waxy feel. The high oil and wax content of this performance leather ensures optimum suppleness and enhanced rider grip. 

Opulence leather offered on most of the Bates models is a soft milled, full grain leather. This leather is ultra soft, and offers the rider immediate comfort. Opulence saddles also come with wear patches on the bottom of the flap to help prevent wear. 

Luxe leather is a premium luxury calf skin leather available on certain Bates saddles, which is soft to touch, and grippy to ride in. Luxe leather saddles also come with wear patches on the bottom of the flap to help prevent wear.
